We are delighted to announce that, having enjoyed its most successful season ever in 2011, the Mitsubishi Ralliart Evolution Challenge Sweden is back for a fifth year in 2012. And, with a reputation for being the country’s most prestigious one-make series, it will again provide teams with close competition, value for money, extensive publicity, professional organisation and a great social atmosphere.
Since it began in the UK 12 years ago, the core values of the Evolution Challenge have not changed: To provide teams using homologated Group N Lancer Evolutions with an ultra-competitive, well-managed and high-value championship – very important in today’s economic climate. The series has also proved to be as social as it is competitive - just ask anyone who has taken part.
This year’s calendar features seven events and eight rounds, four on snow and four on gravel. This includes all six rounds of the Swedish Rally Championship, plus an extra two rounds on Rally Sweden. Please see below.
The WRC event has been included this year as, like last year, Mitsubishi Sweden will be inviting its dealers and guests to the rally for a weekend of motorsport and corporate entertainment. Both us and Mitsubishi acknowledge that the cost of taking part in Rally Sweden is significant and therefore, we are offering 10,000 SEK towards every competitor who enters and starts this event. We are also planning to offer even more incentives to encourage you to take part. Further details will be announced.
Also new for 2012 is the introduction of a loyalty bonus, where Mitsubishi Sweden has agreed to refund the championship registration fee to competitors who enter and start all seven events in the Evolution Challenge.
As in previous years, the championship will feature awards on each event and at the end of the season. Although the full list of prizes is yet to be announced, we are pleased to confirm that Mitsubishi is continuing its support and will be providing prize money vouchers that can be exchanged for parts.
Valuable contributions will also come from other sponsors. Special deals for parts provided by the preferred suppliers are available through MPart.
